ATLANTA, Jan. 9, 2009 – BauderCollege will hold a graduation ceremony on Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, for 212 students. The ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. at the Robert Ferst Centers for the Arts at 349 Ferst Drive NW, Atlanta. Judge Clinton E. Deveaux, presiding judge of the Community Court Division of the Municipal Court of Atlanta, will keynote the ceremony. The ceremony also marks the college's first graduating class to earn a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in fashion product development or fashion merchandising—Bauder College's first four-year fashion programs.
Students will be recognized for earning bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees or certificates in one of 14 programs in the allied health, design, criminal justice, fashion, business or information technology fields. Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study. According to the Long Term Occupational Projections, a report by the Georgia Department of Labor, Workforce Information and Analysis, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 57 percent, fashion design positions by 39.7 percent and interior design positions by 19.4 percent from 2004 to 2014.
